US Peace Movement

There is a small peace movement holding less than impressive demonstations around the country over the US' attack against the Taliban and Osama Bin Laden's terrorist network. The gist of their argument is that the attacks were more or less justified and due to various injustices against the Palestinians, Arabs and members of the Islamic faith in general. Their solution apparently to is to rectify all the terrorists' perceived injustices and terrorism will simply go away.

So much for the delusion that the terorists are looking for justice for the poor and downtrodden in the world. Most of the members of this peace movement (based on the newspaper photographs) are college students and are obviously well meaning but misguided. Even if all the perceived injustices in the world were rectified, were that possible, the terrorists would still be attempting to attack both the US and the rest of the western world, as their expressions of seeking justice by the Osama Bin Ladens types is merely a cover-story for their actual aims. A return to the world in the first millenium where Islam rules all and other religions are banned is their ultimate aim.

The US peace meovement members would be better off doing their homework on the terrorists organizations and perhaps spend their time helping through the Red Cross instead of leaving city parks littered with their signs.
