School shootings

The school shootings or recent years will be a new 'trend' in our American lifestyle. The so-called experts claim that if intervention was provided for troubled kids, the problem could be eliminated.

Most experts seem to live in a perfect world (or think they and we do). The reality is that metal detectors and bomb sniffers are about the only way to make our schools safe. There will always be loners who doesn't confide in anyone and so there will be no opportunity for a warning. Recently, students who have heard of a plot have notified someone in authority, but the memory of Santana High School will soon wear off and the "don't snitch on another student" mentality will be back in vogue.

Society has taken a wrong turn some ways back, and will not find its way back to sanity anytime soon.
