Release of US Intelligence Information on Iraq

There have been calls for the US government to make public all information it has on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction (WMD). This is what more than half the US population is waiting for if you believe the recent polls. It would be easy for the US government to release all it has, but it would be a very good course of action.

Saddam Hussein and his cronies are able to read and watch TV. They would obviously move all WMDs from where the US says they are stored, to other locations in Iraq before UN inspectors could get to them and the intelligence gathering 'game' would have to begin all over again. If the US has Iraqi agents providing the info, it wouldn't take long for the Iraqi government to guess who they were and eliminate them and their families as well. Providing all the US intelligence information to the UN inspectors makes a critical assumption, that no one in the 100+ person UN inspection team is working for the Iraqis.

WMDs intelligence information can only be parceled out to the UN inspectors and only information gathered through other than human means. This would limit the revealing of information to the Iraqis and safeguard any Iraqis working for the US within Iraq. To do otherwise, as the critics call for, would not be a wise move.
