Red Lights and Cameras
The latest controversy to arise is the use of cameras at traffic intersections to photograph drivers who don't stop at red lights. One congressman has likened doing this to big brother watching. In this current age of 'nothing is illegal unless you get caught' mentality, if there isn't a cop watching, driving through a red light is OK. Overlooked in this discussion is that in many states its illegal to drive through a YELLOW light never mind when it turns red! Some Americans seem to want to get away with anything they can, and when technology arrives and says no, they can't understand why not. What the cameras achieve is returning some sanity to an insane worlds of drivers.
I say put cameras at every lighted intersection. Ticket everyone entering that intersection after the light turns red and bill'em through the mail. The law is the law even if the cops are standing there watching.
