Clinton Disbarment
The Clinton disbarment is another case where lawyers feel they are above the law and that they can do whatever they please with no consequences. Recently F. Lee Bailey was asked about the proceeding in Arkansas against Clinton on a talk show and indicated that the entire proceeding was unnecessary. What the viewing public wasn't told is that Bailey himself was under investigation in Florida and faces possible disbarment. He was more likely pleading his own case in advance. It's high time that lawyers realize that ignoring the law is not a prerogative of being a lawyer, but obeying the law is their is their duty just like everyone else's. As for Clinton, he did lie before the court and all the excuses and re-writing of the English dictionary isn't going to change that. Disbarment may be a tough sentence, but if you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
