Civil War Re-enactments

I am dumbfounded by the small group of individuals that want to re-create some of the bloodiest events in American history. That one would want to relive Civil War battles belittles the carnage that took place during that time. Hundreds of thousands of Americans died in the conflict where many times the ground ran red with blood. I doubt that if any of these re-creators had lived through the actual conflict and survived, that they would want to re-create or relive any part of it.
